The most common cause. The wick isn’t saturated with e-liquid when heated.
Reasons:
* Chain vaping (repeated puffs without letting the wick re-saturate).
*High-VG e-liquid (thicker liquid wicks slower).
*Low e-liquid level in the tank (failing to refill).
*Not priming a new coil (failing to soak the wick before first use).
*Overpowered Wattage:
Too-high power settings vaporize e-liquid faster than the wick can absorb it, burning the cotton.
*Old/Expired Coil:
Coils accumulate residue or develop burnt cotton over time, causing persistent burnt taste.
*Faulty Coil or Device:
Manufacturing defects, poor wicking design, or device malfunctions (e.g., inconsistent power output).
Prevention Tips for Customers:
1.Always prime new coils.
2. Monitor e-liquid levels – refill before it’s empty.
3. Stay within the coil’s recommended wattage range.
4. Pace your vaping – allow time for wick saturation.
5. Replace coils every 1-4 weeks (or when flavor diminishes).
⚠️ Important: Continuing to vape with a burnt coil may release toxic chemicals like formaldehyde and acrolein. Always replace burnt coils promptly.
